Local Welsh Liberal Democrats have chosen Selwyn Runnett to stand as their Candidate for the National Assembly Elections on May 5th. Selwyn comments:
"We have had four years of a Labour-Plaid Cymru Coaltion running Wales from Cardiff Bay. The results have been disappointing. There have been lots of promises, glossy documents and media spin but delivery for ordinary people on the ground has been poor. There has been little attempt to tackle the real underlying problems that we have. That's why I'm standing for election. As a Country, Wales can do better. I want the opportunity to go to Cardiff Bay to represent local people. I want a better deal for all of us - and that means new faces in the Assembly and a fresh National Assembly Government with new ideas."
